ABOUT PROFESSIONAL COURSE
Professional year course or also known as PY is structured post study program which is most common in Australia which focuses on studies as well as workplace internships or sometimes placement. PY particularly focuses on job ready program for the recent graduates who want to transit into professional work in Australia.
Accounting Professional Year
This is an international graduate program for those who completed accounting degree in Australia. It is usually delivered by CPA, IPA (Institute of Public Accountants) and CA NAZ (Institute of Public Accountants. Sometimes it includes 12-week accounting internship programs, workplace skills and Australian business communication.
IT/ICT – Information Technology Professional Year Program
This professional year is for those who completed IT, computer science, software engineering, data analytics or any related IT degrees in Australia. This is usually managed by Australian Computer Society (ACS). Australian workplace society (ACS) which includes Australian workplace cultures and job readiness and commination skills. 12 weeks ICT internships in fields like software development, networking and cyber security. They are eligible for 5 migration points.
Engineering Professional Year Program
This is focused for engineering graduates from Australian Universities or overseas engineering graduates on Subclass 476 visas. This is managed by Engineering Australia (EA). This professional year generally includes engineering industry workplace training and includes 12-week engineering internship programs which is focused on civil, mechanical and electrical etc. Also, they are eligible for 5 migration points and bridges gap to professional practice in Australia.
